1. Why we value your privacy
We value your privacy as much as we do our own, so we’re committed to keeping your personal and business information safe. We ask for only the bare minimum from users of our website. We’ll never use your personal information for any reason other than why you gave it, and we’ll never give anyone access to it unless we’re forced to by law.
2. How we collect information
We ask for contact information which may include your name, email address and phone number, on our website or any social media so we can reply to your enquiry or if you sign up to our newsletters.
Our website doesn’t use cookies or scripts to track the websites you visit. We don’t use analytics or native social media to build a profile of a user’s internet activity.
We ask for your account and contact information when you buy something from us.
Occasionally, we might receive your contact information from an associated business partner. If we do, we protect it in the same way as if you give it to us directly.
3. What information we hold
- When you contact us by email or through our website, we collect your name, email address, phone number, a social media username, and any company you work for, if such information is given to us.
- If you sign up for a newsletter, we only collect your email address.

When you contact us by email or through our website, we store your information in Google Workspace, Word Press or our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software. If you sign up for a newsletter, we store your email address in our CRM.
5. What we use your information for
We may occasionally use your contact information to send you details of our products and upcoming events. When we do, you have the option to unsubscribe from these.
6. Who’s responsible for your information at our company
The Secret Solicitor is responsible for the security of your information. You can contact them by email at sf@secret-solicitor.com if you have any concerns about the information we store.
7. Who has access to information about you
When we store information in our own systems, only the people who need it have access. Our management team has access to everything you’ve provided, but individual contractors or employees have access to only what they need to do their job.
8. The steps we take to keep your information private
Where we store your information in third-party services, we restrict access only to people who need it. The computers we use are all encrypted using Microsoft and are protected by a passcode. Our mobile devices are also protected by a passcode.
9. How to complain

If we change the contents of this policy, those changes will become effective the moment we publish them on our website.

Our Cookies Policy is subject to use of our website, social media and our Privacy Policy.
1.2 As with other platforms, we use cookies and similar technologies to help us understand how people use our Platform so that we can continue to improve our Platform.

What are Cookies?
2.1 A cookie is a text file placed on your computer or device when you visit a website by that website’s server (“Cookie”). Only that server can retrieve or read the contents of that Cookie. 3. Why We Use Cookies
3.1 We use Cookies to improve your experience of our Site.
3.2 Cookies do many things such as enabling you to navigate between pages efficiently, storing your preferences and making the interaction between you and our Site faster and easier. For example, Cookies enable you to remain logged into our Site – without Cookies, you would have to log into our Site each time you visited it.

- 5.3.1 Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc., uses Cookies to gather information about how visitors use our Site. Google Analytics uses its own Cookies, to analyse the use of our Site on our behalf. The information generated by the Cookies about your use of our Site is transmitted to Google. This information is then used for the purpose of compiling statistical reports to enable us to measure and analyse the number of visits to our Site and its pages, the average time spent on our Site and the pages viewed.

5.4 Social buttons
- 5.4.1 These ‘social buttons’ are visible on our Site to allow you to share content via social networks, including (but not limited to) Facebook, X, Instagram, LinkedIn and Google. Cookies are placed by these platforms on our Site and allow them to collect information about your browsing.
- 5.4.2 This Cookie and our privacy policy also apply to our social media pages, including, must not limited to, Facebook, X, Instagram and LinkedIn.
- 5.4.5 IT tests
- 5.4.6 These Cookies, emanating from our contracted supplies, test at our request the features of our Site and the performance of user navigation of our site.
6. Similar Technologies
6.1 In addition to cookies, we also use the following standard Internet technologies in connection with your use of the Platform [NOTE: We have set out below these similar technologies by way of example only].
6.2 Clear GIFs
- 6.2.1 Sometimes known as “web bugs”, are small image files that we embed into our content. These clear GIFs tell us whether you opened the newsletter, clicked on any of the content or forwarded the newsletter to someone else. This provides us with useful information regarding the effectiveness of our email newsletters, which we can use to ensure that we are delivering information that is relevant to our users.
6.3 Flash Cookies
- 6.3.1 We use Flash Cookies in website advertisements and videos, which may be sourced from a third party. These store information on the end user’s computer to allow a website to recognise the user’s browser when there is a return to a website. We do not use Flash cookies for the purposes of collecting any personal data, and do not use Flash cookies to respawn any Cookies that you might previously have deleted.
6.4 HTML5 local storage
- 6.4.1 We use HTML5 local storage to store cookie data, including authentication data, username and display preferences. The information we store helps us to improve the user experience. Depending on your browser you can remove local storage when clearing your cache and cookies. We do not use HTML5 local storage to collect any personal data.

7.1 We think it’s important that you can control the collection of personal data relating to your use of our Platform and have therefore made sure you can opt out of any personal data collection using cookies or other technologies as set out below. 8.1 Introduction: If you have a different browser type or version, please refer to your browser’s “Help” menu.
8.2 Internet Explorer 7, 8, and 9: Click on the Tools menu, and then select Internet Options. Click on the Privacy tab. Move the slider to choose your preferred settings. For more specialised cookie settings, click on Sites or Advanced.
8.3 Google Chrome: Click on the Chrome menu, and then select Settings. Click Show advanced settings. Click on Content settings to choose your preferred settings.
8.4 Mozilla Firefox 14, 15 and 16: Click on the Firefox button (or Tools menu), and then select Options. For Mac OS X users, click on the Firefox menu, and then select Preferences. Click on the Privacy panel to choose your preferred settings. For more specialised cookie settings, set ‘Firefox will:’ to ‘Use custom settings for history.’
8.5 Safari 5.1 and Later (Mac OS X): Click on the Safari menu, and then select Preferences. Click on the Privacy tab to display cookie settings. Choose your preferred settings. For more specialised cookie settings, click on Details.
