SS wants to be a high-flying lawyer and marry for love, but she’s a British Pakistani delinquent, who loves a smoke and a beer (secretly of course).
Not wanting to disappoint her parents, let alone the community Aunties, she reluctantly succumbs to the dreaded arranged marriage, but the chosen suitor turns out to be a monster. She hides the pain of her demonic husband behind closed doors, instead putting her energies into breaking into the white, male dominated legal profession. She qualifies as a solicitor. Her parents are so proud, but their humility is tested when SS takes the brave step of getting a divorce.
